Ram Gopal Verma is one film maker who only makes the films that he believes in. While some of his flicks have been major hits, some have seen major failure. Yet, his conviction and self belief has never seen a setback.
His new film is another horror flick, Phoonk 2. It is a sequel of Phoonk that came around two years back. Based on black magic and superstitions, the film stars Amruta Khanvilkar, Sudeep, Ashwini Kalsekar and Ahsaas Channa.
The trailer shows a family of 4 that moves in to a new home. It is a huge bungalow located on a beach and also has a swimming pool. Ashwini Kalsekar is dead in the first half of the film and then his spirit enters Sudeep’s wife. Then starts the cat and mouse chase as Sudeep has to look means to exorcise that spirit.
The theatrical trailer of the film has been released recently. It does remind one of the Hollywood horror flick The Grudge. It seems to have the same dark and dingy cinematography like most RGV movies. The film is expected to release on April 9, 2010.
