The trailer from the film Noor, starring Sonakshi Sinha, Kanan Gill and Purab Kohli is finally out! The movie is an adaptation of ‘Karachi, You’re Killing Me’, written by a Pakistani author Saba Imtiaz. Sonakshi Sinha is the protagonist and plays the role of a clumsy journalist, who can’t seem to figure out where her life is headed. She subtly mocks at the life of a journalist with the dialogue “Kabhi kabhi mujhe lagta hai main ek journalist kam aur joker zyaada hoon”. She is a character with problems that every girl could relate to: work issues, weight issues, and no love life!
The film Noor marks the debut of the very well-known standup comedian, Kanan Gill, who plays the role of Noor’s friend in the film. We can’t wait to see Kanan slay on the silver screen! The extremely talented Purab Kohli is seen playing Noor’s love interest in the trailer. This is the first time that Purab and Sonakshi are going to be seen together.
We can also see Sonakshi dancing to the tunes of the remake of the cult song ‘Gulaabi Aankhein’. This is indeed the era of remakes! Noor is seen undergoing a transformation of image from ‘seedhi savitri’ to ‘tedhi savitri’.
This looks like a story where the lead, Noor, goes on a journey to find herself. A story that showcases the life of a journalist – late night frantic calls to story deadlines.. the struggle is real!
It is a great tactic to release the trailer of a film that is based on a female character a day before Women’s Day. We are already loving the glimpse of the movie and the expectations are already high because it is another flick from the makers of the super hit movie ‘Airlift’. Sonakshi Sinha’s Noor is just like any of us, check it out for yourself:
The Sonakshi Sinha, Purab Kohli, Shibani Dandekar and Kanan Gill starrer, Noor is slated to hit the theaters on April 21.
