The 55th Filmfare Awards 2010 were recently organized at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. The show was an out and out laugh riot with phenomenol comparing by Saif Ali Khan and SRK. The audiences rejoiced at the spectacular star studded night.
‘Firaaq’ bagged the critics’ award for best movie in the popular section while ‘3 Idiots’ rolled out all the rest. Amitabh Bachchan has set a milestone by winning the best actor trophy for his film ‘Paa’ at the age of 68 and was lauded with a standing ovation. For the same movie, Vidya Balan was excited to get the best actress trophy.
Khayyam and Shashi Kapoor graced the stage as they lifted the lifetime achievement titles.
Kavita Seth and Rekha Bhrdwaj shared the best singer female award for their songs, Iktara from Wake Up Sid and Genda Phool from Delhi 6, respectively. Ayan Mukerji and Zoya Akhtar have won the best debut awards.
All in all, the films that remained the talk of the hour were ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Dev D’, ‘Delhi 6’, ‘Wanted’, ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Kaminey’ and ‘Paa’.
