The king of adaptations, Vishal Bharadwaj (also directed Kaminey) is back with another potential masterpiece – 7 Khoon Maaf (Seven

Murders Forgiven). The ace director/music director/dialogues writer/lyricist has earned quite a name for himself by carrying out the unenviable task of translating adaptations (mainly Shakespearean) into the silver screen with unusual dexterity and finesse. Most of his previous directorial ventures, notably Makdee (2002), Maqbool (2004), Omkara (2006) and The Blue Umbrella (2007) have been successful book adaptations, garnering rave reviews from most Hindi film critics.

7 Khoon Maaf Preview

7 Khoon Maaf revolves around an Anglo-Indian woman named Susanna, played by Priyanka Chopra, and her decision to go on a rampage and murder all her seven husbands, one at a time. The seven male leads have been played by Neil Nitin Mukesh (as Major Rodricks), John Abraham (Jimmy), Irrfan Khan (Wasiullah), Aleksandr Dyachenko (Vronsky), Annu Kapoor (Keemat Lal), Naseeruddin flagyl antibiotic

Little Known Facts about 7 Khoon Maaf

Within the stage of production, 7 Khoon Maaf has already witnessed a couple of name changes. The film was previously titled Seven and Ek Batta Saat. Also, Bharadwaj had initially approached southern superstar Mohanlal to play one of Susanna’s husbands. However, the actor declined the offer for unrevealed reasons. His role was then bagged by John Abraham. Not a bad actor to replace at all!

Another interesting fact about the movie is that Priyanka Chopra generic lexapro would play characters whose age ranges from 20 to 65. As a result, the Bollywood actress had to undergo several makeovers throughout the course of the movie to look like the wife of seven differently aged men. Not surprisingly, Priyanka found it extremely challenging to get the look of a 65-year old woman, and even used her grandma’s picture to that end. In addition, the actress chose not to eat or drink anything during the scenes involving prosthetics, which means that she

used to starve for hours together. The challenge was only compounded by the fact that the director asked Priyanka to gain some weight to fit the bill. The shooting of 7 Khoon Maaf commenced on March 24, 2010 at Sri Nagar’s pristine Shalimar Gardens. Other places where the film has been shot include Delhi, Coorg, Mysore, Pondicherry and Mumbai.
