Synopsis of Allah Ke Bandey
Allah Ke Banday is an upcoming Bollywood film with a refreshing storyline that is reminiscent of Shawshank Redemption. The movie, starring Naseeruddin Shah, Sharman Joshi and Faruk Kabir, is about the the lives of 2 twelve year old boys, Vijay and Yakub who have to fight for survival in one of India’s most ruthless slums. By looting people, smuggling drugs and committing small time robberies, these kids aspire to assert their status in a society filled with criminals.

Allah ke Banday continues when they are wrongly convicted for a murder and sent to the Juvenile Reformatory, they discover a world more chaotic and tough to survive in than the one they have known all their lives. This a world where they live between equals. The story moves on and shows how the senior inmates with the participation and permission of the dreadful Juvenile warden, suppress their self esteem by torturing them cruelly. But not the ones to take it lying down, they start developing a more sinister criminal psychosis instead of reforming and set on a quest for ultimate power.

Set free at twenty three, Vijay (the intelligent one with dangerous ideas) and Yakub (the hot headed one) form a gang of teenage boys to rule the slums they were born in. Hence this vicious cycle of life continues in Allah ke Banday
But life forces the two men to make a decision between choosing their misguided childhood dreams and redemption.
Redemption comes, but with a heavy price.
