Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are the extremely talented duo from today’s Bollywood generation. You can always expect something crazy and fun from this couple. These two skilled actors are back and are all set to wow the audience in Badrinath ki Dulhania to take us through some ‘shudh desi romance’. This movie is a sequel to ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and looks much more promising! Varun is seen playing the ignorant Badrinath Bansal while Alia plays the very refined Vaidehi Trivedi. The trailer of Badrinath Ki Dulhania shows that the film is not just about the normal love stories when a boy meets the girl and falls in love but it highlights the different flavors of love. Varun and Alia portray a couple from UP as we can understand from their dialect. Varun’s Badri wants love, while, Alia’s Vaidehi wants love and dignity. Badri is merely a 10th pass student and does the job of paisa-vasooli, while Vaidehi is a college student. Love happens but only after some time when their worlds diverge. A lot of dance, humor, and songs can be seen during that time and the shots have been taken at foreign locations.
Varun’s Badri is seen fighting for his love and succeeds in wooing Alia’s Vaidehi, but just when you think you know the end to it, there’s a twist in the story. Due to unexpected events, the two have a fall-out and lose respect for each other in the due course of time. What went wrong between Alia and Varun? Can they put it behind them and rekindle their relationship? That appears to form the crux of the story.
The cast, tone, plot of the movie remains the same as the previous one but Badrinath ki Dulhania is different in terms of the characters and its story.
The trailer also shows us glimpses of foot-tapping numbers. In snippets, Alia and Varun can be seen grooving to the reinvented Tamma Tamma Loge, a Holi song and another song featuring Badshah, who had also sung the chartbuster Saturday Saturday from the prequel.
The film was shot in picturesque locations like Kota, Gwalior and Singapore. Varun nailed the desi boy character and Alia can any way make any character look so natural. Their chemistry will always shine! The audience has reacted to the trailer in a very positive way and the trailer has already crossed 10 million views.
Not just fans, but B-town stars like Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arjun Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Arjun Rampal, Shraddha Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Senon, Harshvardhan Kapoor, Illeana D’Cruz and Huma Qureshi are also gushing over the fun trailer.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania is scheduled to release on March 10.
