Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi Preview

Returning to the screen after a nice long break, Shah Rukh Khan will star in Rab ne Bana Di Jodi – the promising Yash Raj film slated to release on 12th December. We have been catching the promos too long now and the wait seems irritating. What is the movie all about?

There is an unexpected love story in all our romantic jodis and love can blossom in the most extraordinary places.  ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ is about one such usual couple – Surinder Sahni( played by Shah Rukh Khan) and Taani (played by Anushka Sharma).
Apparently the movie is another love story directed by the man who gave us Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Shah Rukh Khan – Aditya Chopra. In fact, he is coming back to direction after a long period of 8 years ( his last movie was Mohabbatein) .
Anushka Sharma, a newcomes plays the role of the female lead and by the promos, looks quite promising.

Synopsis:

‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’  takes on the eternal emotion of love to another dimension. Just think – have you given thought to the love life of the boring, typical and absolutely predicatble characters in real life? Stopped and thought that these people can have equally charming and touching love stories to tell? We know that love does not make different, the average and the outstanding, the boring and the attractive and so on for one reason -because love knows no distinctions or boundaries. This is the theme of ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’.

This is what happens to Surinder Sahni (Shahrukh Khan) – a straightforward, clean-hearted, truthful man working for Punjab Power. Surinder is leading a routine life until he meets his entire opposite and finds true love in the flamboyant, fun-loving and bubbly Taani (Anushka). Taani has a totally different philosophy in life and for her, the whole world is her canvas and she paints her own life with all the colors there are. But then, unforeseen circumstances change it all. What follows is a ride filled with laughter, tears, joy, pain, music, dance and a lot of love.

How RBNBDJ is different

Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma are shown  in two diverse get-ups. The first look in which SRK is shown is the usual one – he wears loose pants and shirts and has his hair oiled and combed to one side. The other look is totally opposite – a dude look with spiked hair and clean-shaven face. As a matter of fact, the actor reveals that the characters he plays real life people who participated in his show ‘Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hai’ and inspired him.

In fact, according to grapevine, in the second half of the movie, SRK turns from a boring guy to a handsome dude who participates with Anushka in a dance competition and wins her love.
Anushka, too, has two makeovers in the film. She dresses up traditionally in salwar-kameez for one part of the film. In another part, she dons designer dresses.
