Vishal Bhardwaj’s much-awaited upcoming hindi movie, Rangoon, is a war drama that bombarded the internet on Friday morning. The movie is set against a backdrop of World War 2 and is full of passion. Rangoon is a period drama starring the biggies of the Hindi film industry: Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut.
Kangana Ranaut plays the role of Julia, the heart-throb of Bombay’s entertainment industry. She is sent to Burma to entertain the Indian troop, led by Shahid’s character Nawab Malik. Saif plays a possessive filmmaker who is intensely in love with Julia. She falls in love with Nawab Malik, who is hired to protect her. What follows is a perfect blend of love, war, and deceit.

The 3 minute 20-second trailer takes us from the glamorous theaters in the Bombay of the 1940s to the filthy ditches on the battlefields of Burma.
Let’s not forget that Vishal Bhardwaj has always brought out the best from these three. Saif and Shahid have given the most outstanding performances in films helmed by him: Omkaar and Haider respectively. We think Rangoon is also going to be one of the best performances by the lead actors and therefore, it will be a must watch for us!
The trailer of Rangoon has already created a lot of buzz on social media and is extremely intriguing. We can not wait for the magic that it shall create on the big screen! The film hits theaters on 24 February.
