Tanu Weds Manu is an upcoming bollywood movie which stars South Indian superstar R. Madhavan and North Indian beauty Kangana Ranaut. Deemed to be a laugh riot, Tanu Weds Manu takes an American bachelor all the way to the streets of Uttar Pradesh in pursuit of his love. I don’t know about the movie, but the sound track sure is chartbustin’. ‘Sadi Gali’ – the opening track of the album has a strong punjabi flavour to it which is sure to make it a hit in all small towns and villages of India (roughly 75% of India!).

Tanu Weds Manu is about a simple NRI boy who happens to cross paths with a rebellious punjabi girl from UP. Contrasting natures attract the two but a comedy of chances and errors keeps them separate. Let’s hope Tanu Weds Manu is as funny as the promos seem to be.

Kangana Ranaut says about here character in Tanu Weds Manu:

“I feel I am Tanu in many ways. I too come from a small town like her, am rebellious and suffer a cultural conflict. I feel this is my best work so far and a far cry from the traumatised characters I have played in my earlier films.”
