F.A.L.T.U. – Movie Preview

February 12, 2011 by Mahe Talat 5 Comments

Release Date: April 01, 2011,

Banner: Pooja  Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, Director: Remo D’Souza,

Cast: Jackky Bhagnani, Riteish Deshmukh, Pooja Gupta, Angad Bedi and Arshad Warsi

The first look trailers of F.A.L.T.U. have been released and they give you a little sneak peek into what this flick is all about.  Jaccky Bhagnani’s only brush with success so far has been his best debut award at the IIFA. His debut movie Kal Kissne Dekha sank without a trace and hopefully left Jackky a bit wiser. This time however, he is in a F.A.L.T.U. movie that seems to be fun and cool. The first look trailer is out and the first impressions are of a contemporary and fun film. Choreographer Remo D’Souza is debuting as a director with this film and we hope that the dances and song sequences will carry his stamp of excellence.

F.A.L.T.U.

F.A.L.T.U tells the story of a group of friends who spend their time doing “fully faltu” stuff. While they are comfortable passing time drinking, dancing and dating, due to certain circumstances they find themselves in a situation where they are in charge of the destinies of several other students.Their ability to rise to the occasion and do all the right things in a fun manner is the core of this movie. Arshad Warsi as “Google Chand” provides the support systems for our hero.

Though the story is about college students and is supposed to be light and breezy, the trailer looks just too desperate to connect with the young audience. A host of actors like AB senior and junior, Sushmita, Salman, Kareena, R. Madhavan, Mallika Sherawat, Akshay Kumar, and Akbar Khan have done a cameo in the movie. Hope these cameos up the glamour quotient of the movie and don’t turn out to be the only high point in this movie.

This film is a complete rip-off of a lesser known Hollywood film called ‘Accepted’ which is really entertaining. I don’t understand why originality is so lost these days.
