Golmaal 3 – Makes Rohit Shetty A Successful Director Of The First Indian Trilogy

Golmaal 3, the first trilogy in the history of Indian cinema starts right from the place where Golmaal 2 ended. It not only retains uniformity with the plot of the first two Golmaal movies, but also has received praises for maintaining the same comic mood. Keeping intact the chemistry of Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor, director Rohit Shetty has deftly drafted roles for Mithun Chakraborty and Ratna Pathak Shah in the film. Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemu and Shreyas Talpade have been tied in a well-knit plot which made the movie successful.

Golmaal 3

The Plot

Golmaal 3 moves around the lives of two houses, and their inhabitants. One is the house of Ratna Pathak Shah and her adopted sons while the other house belongs to Mithun Chakraborty and his adopted sons. The boys of the two families, who initially hated each other, were forced to live under one roof after Mithun Chakraborty’s marriage with Ratna Pathak Shah. Though the two arch-rival group of boys were always in search of issues to fight, Kareena Kapoor was determined to make them live together happily. Kareena Kapoor has played the role of Dabboo, an orphan child, who wants to unite everyone in a family. The fun loving character of Dabboo has perfectly blended with the lively character of Kareena Kapoor, and has made the story even more successful. The relation between the two groups of boys develops as the story moves. They gradually start to understand and support each other.

Critical Acclaim

While the comic movie sequels do not work much in the Bollywood industry, Golmaal 3 trilogy has received huge success. The film, which has wit without wisdom, fun without logic attracted audiences as well as critics. After the grand success of Golmaal, the sequel Golmaal 2 was little low. However, Nikhat Kazmi of Times of India says Golmaal 3 has again picked up the momentum and provided sheer entertainment to the audiences. Tushar Kapoor has again done it. He has made everyone laugh with his dumb speeches. It is needless to say that acting, direction, set, and all other technical aspects received huge praises. Like the other two sequels, the music of Golmaal 3 has also touched the right chord. Apart from the group of young and talented actors who moved the central theme of the story, veteran actor, Mithun Chakraborty received praises from Filmfare critics for delivering a superb performance. It has also received positive response in U.K, U.S, Australia as well as in the Middle East.

Audiences Verdict

Kareen and co-actors

Golmaal 3 is a great hit among the audiences. It has garnered huge wealth in the box office. The comic element of the movie will surely glue you to your seats. The rib-tickling scenes which are sometimes followed by extremely emotional moments are a complete entertainment package. It is a perfect family entertainer, and it will not be wrong to consider it as one of the best movies released this festive season.
